Fashion Fix

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival 2011 is done and dusted for another season but not without controversy. All heads were turned apparently to our local girl Rachael Finch with snippy comments due to her so called over bronzed skin? Then further insult saying she wore a sheer black wrap that was semi-transparent? Come on guys- the photos prove otherwise she looked flawless, fit and Speedo fabulous to me. Don’t worry Miss Finch we have your back you looked fantastic!
On other fashion news I would have to say my favourite without a doubt was the Camilla range WOW WOW  look out summer!
Also impressed with the plus size ranges (about time)

Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney 2011

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney 2011 (MBFFS) showcases the contemporary Spring/Summer collections of Australia’s leading designer brands and retailers. It’s the excitement of a new season approaching with spring racing and new season couture, what better way to celebrate than with a new promoter Mercedes Benz to kick off a great festival. MBFFS will showcase more than 80 of Australia’s leading designers, among them Dion Lee, Marnie Skillings, Alex Perry and Yeojin Base.

Our own Rachael Finch who is newly engaged has been busy filming a teaser with Peter Morrissey for MBFFS. Speaking of Morrissey he has been off the fashion radar for quite some time but his collection has been creating big buzz!

Eggs and champagne to go

Compared to Townsville Cup mayhem the Amateurs has a more demure and relaxed atmosphere with history stemming back to 1911 it has always represented the heart of North Queensland’s winter racing carnival. So a luxurious and indulgent morning sipping bubbly accompanied by a rich breakfast is a wonderful way to start a race day. The Watermark laid out a Vip Amateurs experience with a champagne breakfast including a sumptuous selection of fruits, salmon and eggs, then a bus transfer to Cluden, full access to Hotfm party zone, private bars with prizes and giveaways. Petticoat Lane was on hand to take a few snaps of fashionable ladies ready for another fabulous day at the track.
